Charles Nyanjui new Board member

Charles Nyanjui was elected into the IFFA Board as a new board member at the IFFA annual meeting 2017 organised in Brussels 15 March 2018.

    Charles has a master’s in forestry from the Karatina University in biology and silviculture, and a bachelor’s in forestry. He has participated in training and conferences in Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda. He has experience from family forestry as well as community forestry.

    This was the main message when IFFA chair Peter deMarsh addressed the United Nations Forum on forests. The 13th session of the forum was held in New York 7 to 11 May 2018.

    The conference “Halt deforestation and increase forest area” was held in Rome 20-22 February 2018

    The conference was a joint initiative between FAO and the Collaborative Partnership of Forests.
