IFFA work on global forest indicators

IFFA will participate in a meeting for developing global forest indicators. The indicators will be used in implementing sustainable development goals.

  • The Partnership supports United Nations Forum on Forest, UNFF. The meeting is part of the so called Organisation-led initiative of CPF and take place in Rome 28-30 November 2016. Participants from IFFA will be Markku Aho and Satu-Marja Tenhiälä from Finland.

    IFFA has participated in earlier meeting on developing global forest indicators often connected to the future International Arrangement of Forest and the development of United Nations Forum on Forest.

    Smallholders contribute to sustainable development

    IFFA celebrates the International Day of Forest 21 March 2017 by underlining that that 2017 is the first year for implementing the 2030 agenda for sustainable development the Paris climate accord. The contribution of small holders cannot be underestimated.
